Pan-American Railway inc. is developing a network of short-line railroads by partnering with existing short lines and regionals to create a nation wide system to handle the various, cost saving technologies that we are working on.
Our first technology is our swing deck flat car system. This technology will enable us to handle short haul – truck, container traffic that the other railroads ignore as their trans-load costs are to high. Our study indicates that our system can load a truck in 5 minutes.
We are also looking at opportunities to partner with short lines or regionals that have customers who do a lot of shipping by truck. Our study indicates that we can compete with trucking down to 100 miles.
Another technology that we are ready to deploy, is our track panel system. This system is an assembly line that can build a 80 foot panel in 40 minutes. It also could produce curved track panels.
As our business grows, we hope to work on our other technologies such as:
- Hub motor
- Prefabricated Bridge System
- Basalt fiber car body for passenger cars
